The mission of the Charter Township of Madison Fire Department is to promote the welfare of the community and its citizens by providing the highest level of Fire & Life Safety Services to our community.  We strive to accomplish this by:

The Charter Township of Madison Fire Department maintains a staff of 9 full-time and 25 paid on call firefighters.  The department averages 2,500 calls for service per year.

  • Open Burning Rules
  • Effective 10/16/2012
    Public Act 102 of 2012 signed into law 04/19/12, prohibits the open burning of several household trash items that pose a danger to human health & the environment.
    Prohibit the open burning of household trash that contain:  plastic, rubber, foam, chemically treated wood, textiles, electronics, chemicals or hazardous material.
